Mercedes-Benz GLS Class Interior & Features
The interior cabin of the Mercedes-Benz GLS Class looks more or less the same as that of the GLE Class, save for the fact that it looks slightly larger in scale. The cabin looks futuristic and super-premium, thanks to the flat bottom multi-functional steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls and the large TFT screen ahead of it, which comprises both the infotainment systems as well as instrument console.
The sleek middle layer of the dashboard gets four rectangular AC vents placed just above the controls for the AC placed in the lower layer. One does get a host of upholstery and trim options to choose from, which also include customizable ambient lighting for the cabin. Needless to say, the cabin is bestowed with innumerable levels of features onboard.
GLS Class Exterior
The sharp lines of the Mercedes-Benz GLS Class have been toned down for this all-new third-generation model, which looks the most bulbous and curvy looking one in its entire history. The SUV has grown large in proportions too, thus enhancing its road presence even more.
At the front, the rounded stance of the Mercedes-Benz GLS Class gets adorned with a slightly rounded front grille, which gets tapered edges on its bottom end sides. The honeycomb mesh pattern, as well as dual slat chrome elements, running through its width makes it look purposeful.
The headlamps too have become curved in shape, with a new inverted L-shaped daytime running LED and an all-new main LED headlamp. The aggressive-looking air dams on the corners of the front bumper with dual slats running between them, as well as thick silver skid plate in between, round off the front look of the SUV.
The side profile of the Mercedes-Benz GLS Class has been transformed too in a good way, with the slightly rounded window frame line as well as squared wheel arches with new machined alloy wheel arches being the new additions here.
The back profile of the Mercedes-Benz GLS Class too has gained a lot of rounded design elements, which include the windshield, rear set of new LED tail lamps which taper outwards and the new chrome finished skid plate on the rear bumper which engulf the new dual chrome-tipped exhaust ports.

The Mercedes-Benz GLS Class, despite having a mammoth-sized SUV, feels cocooned on the inside with impeccable ride quality. The AIRMATIC air suspension with an adaptive damping system on either end makes things very easy to live with. Also, all three rows of seats in the GLS Class feel super comfortable with an ample amount of space on offer.

The Mercedes-Benz GLS Class, for the Singapore market, is available with only one petrol automatic powertrain as standard – a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The engine is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 365 PS and a peak torque output of 500 Nm.
