After gaining a lot of success in international markets, preferably in ASEAN markets, the Toyota Harrier has entered in the Singapore market for the first time. The Toyota Harrier was recently updated and has entered into its fourth generation in the process. The modern crossover is available in Singapore in one fully loaded variant, which carries a price of $148,888, and is available in six paint schemes, namely White Pearl Crystal Shine, Black, Silver, Sparkling Black, Dark Blue, and Dark Red.

Toyota Harrier Interior & Features
While there is no dearth of flash appeal in the exterior design of the Toyota Harrier, the layout of the cabin speaks soberness and sophistication. The all-black cabin with brushed silver inserts does lift up the premium appeal of the cabin, with tastefully executed curved design here and there, such as the sleek AC vents and the upper layer of the instrument console.
The design of the instrument console, three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel and center console of the dashboard look quite simple, but not dated at all. However, the touchscreen infotainment system at the centre of the vertically laid centre console looks a bit archaic and could have had better fonts and colours.
The rest of the cabin, including seats and door panels, are completely finished in black and is very spacious for a car of this category. The cabin is also loaded with features like a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start with keyless entry, leather upholstery, and front powered seats.
Harrier Exterior
The Toyota Harrier has been one typical crossover from day one, and in this latest iteration, its sloping lines and curved design cues have evolved into its most modern form. The Harrier looks distinctive and stylish for its size, and the introduction of new features make it even stronger in terms of road presence.
The Toyota Harrier gets an aggressively styled front end, the highlight of which is the fully blackened glossy black grille, which has its trademark Hawk-style logo in the middle. This trapezoidal grille gets a sleek chrome garnish above it, which blends well with the contours of the front bonnet. The sleek and angular headlamps are now full-LED units and get thin daytime running LEDs on its outer boundaries.
The Toyota Harrier has a sloping front bonnet and slightly rounded roofline and window frames towards the rear. The window lines taper towards the rear in the form of a triangle and do get chrome surrounds. There is additional chrome on the door handles and lower edge of the doors, which along with the machined alloy wheels, enhances the premium quotient of the crossover.
At the back, the Toyota Harrier looks quite conventional with trapezoidal tail lamps that have rounded edges and are adjoined by a sleek light bar in between. The large roof spoiler above the rear windscreen makes it look even sportier.
Toyota Harrier Ride & Handling
The Toyota Harrier gets Macpherson struts at the front and double wishbone at the rear, which with their comfort-oriented soft setup do make the Harrier a comfortable place to be in for urban driving. However, with just front-wheel-drive configuration, it doesn’t feel as rugged and off-road-ready as the Fortuner.
Harrier Engine & Fuel Consumption
Powering the Toyota Harrier is a state-of-the-art 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which delivers a maximum power output of 230 PS and a peak torque output of 350 Nm, ranks as the most powerful engine in its class. The engine is mated to a rather basic 6-speed automatic transmission, though.

The Toyota Harrier is armed with a pretty rich safety features list, the highlights of which include front, side, curtain and knee airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, dynamic cruise control, vehicle stability control, traction control, hill start assist, front and rear parking sensors and reverse camera.
