2021 Honda CR-V Hybrid get updates for UK market

The 2021 CR-V Hybrid arrives in the UK market. To begin with, it will be offered in a single i-MMD Hybrid variant option that's priced at £30,180 (RM164k). 

Rebecca Stead, Boss of Honda Uk, said, “The CR-V is such an iconic part of Honda’s range and history it is only fitting that the revised 2021 model is ready to take on a changing and challenging marketplace, equipped with the latest technologies and equipment to make consumer’s lives that little bit easier.”

Talking about the visual upgrades includes blue surrounds on the Honda badges, e: HEV nomenclature on the tailgate, and a new set of 18 inches wheels along with privacy glasses.

On the inside, the CR-V now flaunts new silver trims that are applied onto the door cards, centre console, and dashboard. The top of the line CR-V EX gets a wireless smartphone charging tray.

Under the hood, the Hybrid SUV comes equipped with the same 2.0 liter i-MMD engine that can be seen in the previous model. The four-cylinder Atkinson-cycle i-VTEC petrol mil is added with a lithium-ion battery and a pair of electric motors to churn out a total maximum power output of 184 PS and a peak torque of 315 Nm.

According to the carmaker, the front-wheel-drive models are expected to return an average fuel economy of 5.57 litres per 100 km. Moreover, the AWD models will manage to deliver 6.0 L/100 km. Talking about the figures for CO2 emissions, it is 151 g/km and 161 g/km respectively.

 

Other performance upgrades include uprated suspension, which will aid in delivering a more linear handling and better driving dynamics. This will further increase low longitudinal rigidity that will allow for better ride compliance. The dual-pinion variable-ratio electric power steering has been tweaked to offer a better low-speed filtering capability.
