2021 Hyundai Kona Night Edition unveiled in the US

The trend of unveiling dark theme vehicles is healing day by day as, the South Korean carmaker, Hyundai has taken the wraps off the 2021 Kona Night Edition in the US. This has happened just after a day of 2020 Ram Heavy Duty Limited Black Edition’s launch. The saddest part is that the carmaker has informed to produce a limited number of 2021 Kona Night Edition. However, the exact number is yet to be finalised.

2021 Hyundai Kona Night Edition features LED lighting units along with RAYS wheels of 18-inch. The wheels further get a semi-gloss black paint job. As the name suggests, an array of dark exterior accents will tag along. The car gets a black grille, which replaces the standard chrome unit. The latter is also not available even in the rear tailgate and lower rockers. The side mirror caps also go dark.

Getting inside the car, the central locking switch and door handles get black accents. Also, there are a set of aluminium pedals. One can opt for the Ultra Black exterior finish, which will provide an all-black look. There is also Chalk White and Galactic Grey options for the interior.

The 2021 Hyundai Kona Night Edition is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, which is capable of churning out a maximum power of 175 hp at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque is 264 Nm at 1,500 to 4,500 rpm. The power is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

As mentioned earlier the 2021 Hyundai Kona Night Edition will be available in limited numbers. So it is not clear whether the car will be available in Singapore or not. The carmaker has not revealed much about the vehicle, however, it has confirmed the Night Edition's September launch.
