2022 BMW iX3 facelift breaks cover
While it has been only some time since BMW introduced us to its latest iX3 electric SUV, the electric SUV gets a round of updates and refreshments. The revamp brings it closer to the freshly-facelifted diesel and petrol versions of the BMW X3.
Talking of the most certain changes, the vehicle dawns subtle changes on the exterior. While the details are very minute, they add to the overall appeal of the vehicle.
The most obvious visual changes around the car include a slimmer LED headlight assembly (10 mm flatter than before), and all-new LED tail lights with darkened surrounds. Other highlights around the car include new 19-inch air-improved wheels and a revamped front grille that now looks larger. Other additional options around the car include adaptive LED headlights that are paired with BMW’s Laserlight and 20″ M bi-color wheels.
The automaker has also made its M Sport package standard now, giving a similar treatment to the front and rear bumpers. In terms of tweaks in its design, the automaker has revised the lower front intake, which has been expanded for a wider appeal.
Other notable changes in the car include a 10-stage active air flap control, which cools down the drive systems that are involved with friction. Other changes in the car include air curtains which have been given blue accents.
Inside, the iX3’s improvements are similar to the X3. The infotainment screen highlights a larger 12.3-inch unit which has been set diagonally to match the size of the digital instrument cluster.
Lastly, the automaker has not made any changes to the powertrain of its offering, because it is already running the automaker’s latest fifth-generation eDrive technology.
