2022 Mazda CX-5 made an official debut

Following its early debut from leaks by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Mazda has finally taken the matter into its own hands and made the 2022 Mazda CX-5 facelift official! 

Looking at the exterior of the car, we can say that the vehicle has been re-designed to its core, adapting to a more beefy, aggressive exterior. The overall enhancements in the looks of the car present it with an updated kit list and enhancements in the chassis of the vehicle. 

The car now features a rectangular LED setup, paired with redesigned headlights and several other lighting elements which can be noticed inside the car. Further, the CX-5 also presents users with a tweaked grille that can be fitted with a three-dimensional mesh insert. 

The Japanese carmaker has also revamped its car with bits and pieces of the SkyActiv-Vehicle Architecture. The feature which was previously introduced with the Mazda 3, now transcends to the CX-5 model. 

The revised architecture of the car involves improved seats and bodyshell that will be providing improved comfort and convenience to the occupants of the car. To make the revised CX-5 more adaptive to the multiple types of terrains, the vehicle packs an enhanced dampening control structure with its suspension. This way, the automaker has significantly reduced the unpleasant NVH.

Interestingly, for its 2022 run, the automaker has replaced its Grand Touring Reserve model with the 2.5 Turbo model. The current model of the vehicle comes equipped with a turbocharged engine that is said to be fine-tuned, to pick up on better speed and performance than the naturally-aspirated CX-5s. 

Inside, the revamped Mazda CX-5 boasts some luxury posh materials that include Nappa leather and woodgrain. Users can also experience the new drive select switch along with redesigned seats.

Lastly, looking at the ways in which the automaker has revamped the car, we can say that the brand is moving towards more beefy SUV offerings!
