BMW M turns 50 in style: New logo, new paints, and new models
BMW Motorsport or BMW M was first set up in 1972 when they decided to further the brand’s work into racing events. And since then, the M division has come a long way, producing the best driver-oriented high performing cars the world has ever seen. And to celebrate their long journey, their 50th anniversary will be marked with the launch of a new badge, new models, and new color options!

BMW M will be soon introducing the M3 Touring wagon, a special edition G82 M4, and the next-gen M2.The upcoming BMW badge looks stunning with red, violet, and blue segments encircling the traditional BMW roundel. Set to launch in the market by the end of January, it's not just for the traditional BMW M models - anyone with regular M Sport BMWs can get this new badge for their car!
Apart from this special badging, BMW will also launch a range of 50 striking color options for special M models in 2022. Among these 50 options, we can expect to see stunning color schemes like Frozen Yas Marina Blue, Imola Red, Macao Blue, Daytona Violet, Fire Orange, Dakar Yellow, and so much more!
And that’s not all. BMW M will mark their 50th year with some new editions too! They have already announced the launch of their M3 Touring wagon, a special edition G82 M4, and a next-gen M2.
The German automaker will also be launching a new electric vehicle to top-off last year’s i40 M50. While no further announcements have been made about the upcoming EV, there is a fair chance it will be a new XM SUV, with a hybrid plug-in edition of the previous M5’s V8 turbocharged engine.
This upcoming EV is also set to get a power output of 760 PS, which is 200 PS more than the previous model. We will possibly get a preview of this model in the coming week. Till then, stay tuned for more news!
