BMW shows off its M Performance bits for the M3, M4 Duo

After the reveal of its M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe variant, BMW has levelled up its performance game with its M performance accessories. These new performance add-ons, not only improve the overall performance of the car but also provide it with an array of visual upgrades, adding all the more sporty elements to the car.

To begin with, the performance package for the duo provides the cars with door sills and mirror caps that are covered in carbon-fibre. The car can also be seen wrapped around in shades of the same over its diffuser, rear wing, and the front splitter.

Perhaps the most aggressively styled part in the M Performance package is the optional titanium four-pipe exhaust tips. The package also comes with specially developed brake pads that help in improving the breaking time of the car and ensure more safety to the occupants.

Talking of the improved performance in the M Performance pack, it’s a titanium muffler that gets mated to an active valve, the M duos save 11 pounds of overall weight. The car also rolls over cover-coil suspension that benefits the users with optional ride height in between five to 20 millimetres. The revised ride height adds to the aerodynamic and torque delivery of the car, helping the drivers with a more sharp turn.

The M Performance catalogue also offers wheel options between 19-21 inches. The 19 inches come covered in gloss black whereas, the 20s come in gunmetal grey. Finally, the 21-inch wheel can be availed in colour options of bronze and black.

The M duo is powered by a fine-tuned S58 engine that gives out a maximum power output of 474hp besides giving out a peak torque of 550Nm, adding 50hp of power and 50Nm of torque than the previous generation variant of the M series.

Lastly, on the inside, the M Performance part adds touches of Alcantara or Carbon fibre. Another major highlight inside the cabin is its M Performance Pro Steering wheel that is again covered up in carbon-fibre.
