BMW unveils its G82, designed in collaboration with New York streetwear retailer Kith
KUALA LUMPUR: Following the concept vision that was recently unveiled by BMW, the automaker collaborated with New York’s famous fashion brand Kith, to come up with a special edition G82. Interestingly, this car is now available for the customers to buy.
However, the twist here is that the collaboration G82 is limited to just 150 units. The M4 Competition x Kith is one of the most remarkable products that comes with enhanced looks and functionalities on the standard car.
Having a look at the car, users will find some very striking connections between the regular and the Kith model M4. However, only the keen eyes will be able to notice the unique styling approach that the vehicle comes with. To begin with, it gets roundel atop that blends in with the kidney grille but gives a taste of the 1970s-style BMW Motorsport. The car also showcases a Kith badge on its rear.
One of the most striking additions to the exterior is the giant Kith graphic that can be seen on the carbon fibre roof. Interestingly, it’s not a decal but woven into fabrics.
Powering the car is the similar S58 3.0L twin-turbocharged straight-six engine. The drivetrain is powerful enough to churn out 508hp of power besides generating 650Nm of peak torque. Power to the rear wheels is managed via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Interestingly, the 3.0L twin gives out 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
Moving inside, the G82 M4 represents similar touches of customization. The cabin adapts to M carbon bucket seats that are wrapped up in M colours of light blue and red trim. Moreover, you will also notice the Kith logo that is present in the headrests and centre armrest. The Kith branding can also be witnessed across the illuminated panels inside the cabin.
