Honda’s new HR-V Modulo X Concept revealed at TAS

The Tokyo Auto Salon 2022 saw a number of best concepts revealed by renowned carmakers. And, Honda stood out amongst this crowd with its latest reveal: the HR-V e: HEV Modulo X Concept. The vehicle is set to be released in the commercial market by the end of the year. Let’s check out what this vehicle has to offer.

Honda already used the impressive Modulo X concept in its previous generation HR-V and we are big fans of the treatment. This year, the third-generation HR-V received the sporty treatment.

Painted in Premium Crystal Red Metallic, the concept car boasts several design changes to make it stand out from the rest. Taking a look at it, we love the aggressive beak-like new grille that compliments Honda’s logo. Its grille extends up to the headlight clusters and connects the modified aero bumper.

The sidelines too get something new in the latest version. Honda included impressive chrome garnish and fender arch protectors between the 18-inch wheels. The badges and mirror caps too have been painted black to keep up with the red and black theme. The new rear bumper consists of unique detailing along with a stunning tailgate spoiler.

The new HR-V e: HEV Modulo X Concept's interior also sported some new design tweaks. The standard steering wheel will now receive new red stitching while the seats have been upgraded to match the sporty look of the car. 

Honda released a special development video for the X Concept that reveals new suspension upgrades to improve driving dynamics. The video showcased the model’s high-speed runs on both rough and winding roads. The new model was driven by Keiichi Tsuchiya, Modulo's development advisor who provided valuable feedback to Honda’s engineers. 

The HR-V e: HEV Modulo X Concept's engine specifications have not been revealed yet but we hope to hear something soon. Till then, stay tuned.
