Nissan 400Z teased ahead of the official reveal
While we’re getting closer to the official unveiling of the upcoming Nissan Fairlady Z, dubbed as the 400Z for international markets, the automaker continues to create a stir ahead of the debut.
Nissan has released a short teaser video, providing us with a brief glimpse of its upcoming sports car that is set to make a debut on August 18, 2021.
Earlier, Nissan had showcased the Z sports car for the first time in September last year. Previously, the car was named as Z Proto concept vehicle. Fast-forward to 2021, the Nissan Z was originally planned to break cover on August 17 to coincide with the now-canceled New York Auto Show. Instead, Nissan will be taking the event online, giving us a complete glimpse of its seventh-generation Z sports car.
Giving us an idea of the upcoming car, it is evident that the Nissan 400Z will be carrying over the retro touches, taking us back to the seminal 240Z styling concept. Besides a generic idea of the design concept.
Other features which can be seen around the car include the circular LED daytime running lights, large Z badges on the C-pillars, and a sloping rear deck. Looking at some of the cues that could be sourced from several suggestions and surfaced images, we can say that the upcoming car is carrying similar cues, as found on the Z Proto concept.
Looking at the ways in which the car has been designed, it clearly indicates that the production car’s styling will be largely identical to the show car.
Interestingly, images of an undisguised 400Z were also surfaced over the Internet, earlier this year. The leaked images affirm that the styling resonates with the shown concept as the car gets a massive square front grille, full-length chrome glasshouse strip, recessed door handles, and some changes to its rear spoiler.
Lastly, reports around the upcoming car suggest that the mill is the same 3.0L VR30DDTT, which is found in the Infiniti Q50 and Q60 Red Sport 400.
