Nissan Magnite SUV set for debut in India

Nissan Magnite SUV set for debut in India

Earlier in June this year, Nissan unveiled the Magnite SUV in the concept form at an event. And now, the Japanese automaker is gearing up to launch the production-spec version of its new sub-4-metre SUV in the Indian market on October 21.

Previously, the Magnite was developed for the Datsun brand. The automaker is betting big on its upcoming vehicle as it believes the Magnite to mark its comeback in the Indian car market. Expected to face a major heat against some very strong competition, the Maginte might have secured a chance to peak sales charts.

Talking about the design feature of the vehicle, the Nissan Magnite adapts to the instance of a crossover that is enhanced with the presence of the tapering roofline on its rear-end. The car also adapts to the strong aerodynamic design and edgy adaptions, as per the spy photos and leaks around the vehicle.

Moreover, the leaks across the upcoming vehicle also suggest it carry dual-tone colour options. The vehicle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, as per the suggested leaks.

Said to share the same CMF-A platform with the Renault Triber, Nissan calls its product to be “feature-rich premium offering for the future, with stylish design and strong, dynamic road presence.”

Interestingly, despite being an India-focused model, the upcoming Nissan Magnite was also seen testing at the Nissan Tochigi Proving Ground in Japan, besides some other Nissan models like the GT-R and Ariya.

Talking about their upcoming vehicle in the Indian market, Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India said, “The Nissan Magnite has been specially designed in Japan, keeping in mind the requirements of our Indian customers,” he further added. “It is a bold offering in the sub-four-meter category, and we are confident that the Nissan Magnite will redefine the B-SUV segment by breaking boundaries. We are very excited to bring this game-changing product to India.”

Lastly, reports also suggest the car would be coming with four powertrain options.
