Pay for parking with your EV's power at Nissan Pavilion

Automakers are focusing on newer technologies, and Nissan is in the game too. The Japanese carmaker has opened a brand new showcase space, called the Nissan Pavilion. The biggest catch of this new display facility is the inclusion of technology that could draw power from electric vehicles' batteries as parking fees instead of money.

For the first time in the automobile history, people driving an electric car can pay for their parking by discharging power from the car's battery while touring the Nissan Pavillion space in Yokohama.

The Nissan Pavilion spans over an area of 10,000 sq-m. It is a zero-emission centre with solar panels and is provided with renewable hydroelectric power. However, it is not the major attraction for this showcase facility.

The guests of Nissan Pavilion can dine-in at Nissan Chaya Cafe, which runs on power supplied by solar energy and Nissan leaf electric cars. The state-of-art facility offers an amazing virtual experience of Formula E electric street racing and test drive of the all-new Ariya EV crossover. The guests can also indulge in virtual tennis matches with the Grand Slam Winner and the brand ambassador, Naomi Osaka.

The innovative ideas of Nissan Pavillion are placing the brand high in the automobile market as it has raised the bar among showcase spaces. Replacing money with electricity is the most thoughtful and cost-efficient idea. It not only saves your pocket from draining but also conserves power at the same time.

The visitors at Nissan Pavilion can also experience the advanced ProPILOT semi-autonomous driver assistance system and Nissan's I2V, i.e., Invisible-to-Visible technology, an augmented reality technology. The facility also offers rental bicycles and electric vehicle sharing from Nissan as well as the local congregation.

The spokesperson at Nissan has stated that it will use the Nissan Pavilion facility to demonstrate to people the creation of a better world. This energy-saving and cost-efficient technology is a future-prodded affair and will shape the future globally.

This Nissan Pavillion, in Yokohama, is just a transient outlet accessible to the public from the 1st of August to the 23rd of October.
