Porsche 911 GT3 teaser released before debut on February 16

Porsche launches the teaser of the 911 GT family’s youngest member via live stream on its website. The newest member of the 992 generation Porsche 911 GT3 will stage its global appearance for the first time on February 16, 2021.

The shadowy glimpse from the trailer gives us an image of the coupe’s rear end featuring the swan-neck wing that looks pretty remarkable. Porsche enthusiasts will be surprised with its unique styling cues and LED light bar that not only decreases drag but also promotes downforce.

There is a lot of buzz regarding the specs but nothing is confirmed as official yet. We can presumably rely on the earlier reports that hinted at upgrades, like a double-wishbone front suspension which was earmarked for the company’s racer models like 911 RSR.

The engine of the teased Porsche operates the rear wheels with its integrated six-speed manual or a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission. Interestingly, the standard 992's PDK box, which looked defunct, was replaced with a grippy shifter that comes with an individual gate to manoeuvre gears like professionals.

The top-notch 4-litre, naturally-aspirated, flat-six engine will take over its predecessor and also the most advanced 991 Speedster's engine with its single throttle valves. Not to forget, the engine is terrific with its rapidity and responsiveness at an expected 9000 rpm redline and 500 plus horsepower figure.

A significant transformation can be observed in the chassis with race-inspired multilink front suspension settings. A subtle hint at the enhanced performance was dropped with the commendable job of the GT3 Touring iteration. All the grunt from the engine will drive a wagon that should weigh around 3100 pounds despite being a 992 generation version that is steered towards a bigger size. This revised version is faster in the tracks with its improved aerodynamics, courtesy of a power hike, superior stiff chassis, larger brakes, and tyres for better measurement.

It’s now a matter of around a week, where we can delve into the final details of the new 911 GT3. Lastly, we’ll have to wait to fetch more information, whether Porsche is prepping up to bring some more versions for the recent 911 range.
