Teaser out for US-based unique Honda HR-V

Looks like the first teaser of the much-awaited 2023 Honda HR-V is finally out! After a successful stint of doing rounds on the internet, we finally have a look at the new versatile and sporty number by the Japanese automaker. 

Talking of the new HR-V, it will be based on the sketches which we came across last month. 

To give you a few insights, enthusiasts are about to get surprised by the revamped front end of the new HR-V vehicle. It stands out to be very different from what Honda usually produces and certainly does not align with the current Honda corporate face. 

Honda has yet revealed any technical details of the all-terrain SUV. However, we can assume that it will have the exact engine specifications as the latest Honda Civic. It indicates a 1.5-litre VTEC turbo and a 2.0-litre i-VTEC naturally-aspirated four-pot engine. These will deliver a power output of 180 hp and 150 hp, respectively. The SUV might also have an AWD and CVT option with front-wheel drive.

Giving you a bit more insight into the final output, the car will be having a U-shaped air intake with a massive hexagonal grille and stunning trapezoidal headlights.Moving to its tail lamp, it will be poles apart from the other HR-V models. 

As the sketch suggested, the rear lamp is a more curvy thing - much like Acura's rear end. We can also see an additional quarter light on the rear end that might indicate that the US version will be bigger than the other models. 

Judging from the other global models of the HR-V, Honda might also bring a hybrid version for the same for the US market. After all, it already has the e: HEV tech required for the hybrid. 

The US-version HR-V will be fully revealed on 4th April, and only then will we know more about the vehicle. Till then, stay tuned!
