Third-gen Suzuki S-Cross revealed, looks bolder and better

Suzuki recently unveiled a new third-generation S-Cross which will be first launched in Europe by the end of 2021 before appearing in the Asian, Oceanian, and Latin American markets. Set to be manufactured entirely in the brand’s Hungary plant, the latest version features design upgrades, better safety features, and a hybrid engine!     Firstly, the design of the S-Cross will be slightly different than its predecessor. The upcoming model will be bolder it gets a huge striking black grille and a chrome bar. This chrome bar will also be attached with three-cluster LED headlamps, enhancing the S-Cross’s adventurous look. 

    The new S-Cross like the other SUVs in the market will come with slim LED taillamps clusters connected with a slimline sporting the Suzuki logo. It also comes with a rugged skid plate to further increase its appeal.

    The interior will resemble the previous generation model in terms of center console, center stack, and steering wheel. It will also be accompanied by a 7 or 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

    Coming to the engine, the new model will receive the powerful Boosterjet 1.4L four-cylinder K14D engine which will deliver a power output of 129 PS and 235 Nm torque. The engine will also be accompanied by a 48v lithium-ion battery, an electric motor, and a converter, all part of the Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki or SHVS’s package. 

    In terms of safety features, the new S-Cross gets 7 airbags, Isofix child seat anchors, hill hold control, tire pressure monitoring system, EBD, ABS, ESP, and much more. It will also include a new 360-degree camera with advanced driver assistance features like autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, among others. 

    The new generation S-Cross will hit the European market next year right after the Vitara launch. Price details for the new model are yet to be revealed. So stay tuned for more updates!
