Upcoming Volkswagen T7 Multivan teased ahead of debut
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has teased the updated T7 Multivan with a fresh preview of the van. In the new teaser, the van seems to have picked up on some amazing renders. It now migrates to the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform that is likely to make the people-mover wider than we had previously expected.
Further, the all-new platform in the van will also be providing it with a longer wheelbase, besides adding wider tracks, when compared to the outgoing T6.1, adding more space to the van.
Scheduled for making its debut in mid-June 2021, the van might be called the Multivan Bulli, the people mover. The new model is also gifted with a generous glass area, making the VW T7 Multivan a spacious affair and adding space for an extra window at the A-pillar. The entire concept behind the increased glass space seems to add improved visibility to the occupants.
The fresh sketches of the car also reveal that the van might bring back the design feature that was loved by all the VW van owners, back in the 70s. The character lines of the car run across the complete length of the vehicle, as expressed by the T3. Further, one can also witness the inclined angle of the windscreen, blending seamlessly with the bonnet line of the T4.
Moving in, the upcoming Multivan from Volkswagen highlights inspiration from the eighth generation of the Golf. The overall design cue and the smartly designed cabin space of the car, everything highlights seamlessness in its design.
Further, the sketch also highlights shift-by-wire transmission, alongside the 10-inch infotainment screen. All the screen and transmission settings eliminate the possibility for the van to have a manual transmission option and the traditional parking brake lever.
Lastly, while there is no information on the mill of the van, we might see a powerful engine by Volkswagen.
