The new Volkswagen Golf is available in Singapore in two different variants – Comfortline and Highline, both of which do get the same petrol automatic powertrain. A total of nine colour options are on offer, namely Atlantic Blue, Indium Grey, Lapiz Blue, Reflex Silver, Tungsten Silver, Deep Pearl Black, Onyx White, Pure White, and Tornado Red.

The Volkswagen Golf doesn’t look as loud and pronounced as the new Polo from the inside, but then again, the more sophisticated and mature layout here is equipped with modern technologies to make sure it is up to date.
The three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel as well as the full TFT 12.3-inch instrument console ensure that you get a great futuristic vision of the road ahead. The centre console of the dashboard too has been revised with an all-new 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which also features gesture control. The rest of the cabin looks understated yet pleasing to the eye with its dual-tone black and beige upholstery.
The cabin of the Volkswagen Golf pampers you with the latest of the features onboard, such as dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, height-adjustable front seats, cruise control, keyless entry with push-button start, Android Auto and Apple Carplay and so on.
Golf Exterior
This latest generation Volkswagen Golf looks beautiful from whichever angle you look at it. It looks modern and up to date, and at the same time, it looks every bit of a Golf in a traditional way, as it has beautifully evolved its original design of its predecessor.
The front profile of the Volkswagen Golf looks as sleek as ever, with a new elongated trapezoidal grille that gets a single chrome garnish at its bottom. The wing-shaped headlamps too have been tweaked as compared to before, with an all-new LED lighting theme and dual L-shaped daytime running LEDs in them. The fog lamp housings have been revised, which are now more geometric in their visual appeal and get all-LED fog lamps.
Moving towards the sides, the new Volkswagen Golf has received minimal changes, save for new five-spoke machined 18-inch alloy wheels, and a crisp character line flowing through the midway of the doors. The slightly squared C-pillar design, which has always been the theme for the Golf, has been retained beautifully in this iteration too.
At the back, the LED tail lamps of the Volkswagen Golf have not only grown in size but also have become more angular in their appearance. There are now two different character lines flowing across the width of the boot lid, and the new chrome garnish on the lower lip too add to the overall modern and premium appeal of the Golf.

The Volkswagen Golf continues to have the fantastic driving dynamics setup, with the enhancements in its suspension setup, which now feature specially coordinated springs, dampers, and anti-roll bars. The perfectly weighted steering setup again plays an important role in making the overall experience great.

Volkswagen has employed only one engine and gearbox combination for the Golf for the Singapore market. The 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox produces 125 PS of maximum power output and 200 Nm of peak torque output.
