The Ford Ranger is one model which has made the American carmaker a very popular brand in the South East Asian market. The Ford Ranger is known for its robust mechanicals and styling, which makes it one of the toughest vehicles in its price range. Unlike other countries, the Ford Ranger is available in only one variant in Singapore – the Ford Ranger 2.0A 4WD Limited Double Cab. The color options available for the Ford Ranger are Frozen White, Lightning Blue, Moondust Silver, Copper Red, Sea Grey and Absolute Black.

Ford Ranger Interior & Features
The Ford Ranger has got a straight looking dashboard design, which might not be the trendiest looking one in the segment. However, the good fit and finish levels, all-black layout and presence of a couple of high-end features do make the cabin feel premium.
The four-spoke steering wheel of the Ford Ranger feels chunky and good to hold, with the part-digital TFT instrument console behind it adding a bit of youthfulness here. The same is executed by the large touchscreen infotainment system in the center console, which is flanked by trapezoidal AC vents on either side and a big cluster of buttons for climate control below it.
The dashboard feels rich with a central layer of piano black finish running across the width of it. The Ford Ranger is also packed with a number of features, which do make the overall experience even richer. The features include dual-zone automatic climate control, rear AC vents, leather upholstery, 8-way powered driver seat, cruise control and rain-sensing wipers.
Ranger Exterior
The current iteration of the Ford Ranger is in existence in the global markets since 2015. In all these years, the Ford Ranger has managed to retain its charm of a big and burly looking off-roader pickup, with the design being timeless. It nowhere shows any signs of aging even today.
At the front, the Ford Ranger manages to appear muscular with a raised stance, complemented by a wide all-chrome grille. This grille gets chrome surrounds and has two horizontal chrome slats running in the middle of it, with the ‘Ranger’ badge embossed at the top of it. The large headlamps flanking the either side of the grille get projector headlamps with L-shaped daytime running LEDs. The large C-shaped housings for the fog lamps too make the front look even more appealing.
The side profile of the Ford Ranger looks burly, with the heightened stance of the front bonnet and high ground clearance making it look large. There are minimal lines flowing here on the side profile, save for the slightly flared rounded wheel arches. The D-shaped chrome insignia on the front fender and chrome finish for the door handles and rearview mirrors somehow introduce some premium appeal here. The rear profile of the Ford Ranger has been kept very simple, with vertical tail lamps on the side edges of the boot lid, which extend a bit sideways as well.
Ford Ranger Ride & Handling
Matching the burly personality of the Ford Ranger is its tough mechanical underpinnings. The Ranger sits on a ladder-on-frame chassis and gets a double-wishbone setup at the front and asset of leaf springs at the rear. While the suspension setup gives it a go-anywhere ability and great prowess on rough roads, the same setup tends to make the ride quality bouncy and stiff on smoother tarmacs. The Ranger here comes standard with a shift-on-fly four-wheel drive system
Ranger Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Singapore-spec Ford Ranger is available with only one powertrain combination of a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The engine here is powerful enough to pump out a maximum power output of 213 PS and a peak torque output of 500 Nm.
