Lexus LC Convertible

It is not only the outside design of the Lexus LC which is outrageous and norm-breaking, as even the interior is designed in such a way to create new notions. Like all the Lexus offerings, the Lexus LC gets an asymmetric design for the dashboard, with two upholstery options to choose from – dual-tone black and purple and all-walnut.

The dashboard of the Lexus LC has a theatre-like design, with the driver’s cockpit having a three-spoke steering wheel with a full-TFT instrument console behind it. The neatly tucked-in touchscreen infotainment system in the centre console looks great too. Apart from the asymmetric layout, the cabin also has a perforated design on the co-passenger side, which along with the minimal-looking buttons for the automatic climate control and brushed aluminium accents on the door panels, make the cabin look rich. 

The cabin of the Lexus LC further impresses with its extensive list of features, which includes 8-way power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, 13-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, smart keyless go, front seats with heating, ventilation, and memory functions, and Lexus climate concierge. However, the one thing which is not-so-impressive about the cabin of the Lexus LC is the limited space for the rear passengers.

The fact that Lexus LC looks desirable and eye-catching even existing in the market for a long time now is a testimonial to the sheer brilliance of its design. The Lexus LC is a piece of art, which even after having a sense of aggression in its design all around, manages to look elegant at the same time.

The Lexus LC wears the traditional spindle-themed grille which all cars from Lexus are known for. Here, this grille looks massive and premium with chrome surrounds on all four sides and a diamond-mesh studded design inside it. The all-LED headlamps are shaped like a wishbone and along with the boomerang-shaped daytime running LEDs make the front look swanky. 

The Lexus LC has a smooth design when viewed sideways, but there is a hint of aggression which is visible at some places. The large 21-inch alloy wheels are a treat to watch and give the car an extremely likable stance. The tapering down roofline and broad front and rear fenders are a couple of other design elements which make the Lexus LC very sporty. The rearview mirrors have a swopping design with an impressive two-part paint finish.

The rear profile too has a very distinctive design with the tail lamps having the same kind of wishbone-themed design it gets for the headlamps. The tail lamps have pointier and vertical lower extensions, which flow down to the rear bumper, which along with the X-themed design for the boot lid, make the rear profile look broad and attractive. 

While many sports cars are infamous for their stiff ride quality, the Lexus LC edges them all with a certain suppleness in its ride quality. The Lexus LC comes with a suspension combination of multi-links at both ends, which are tuned on a softer side to have no compromise on both handling and ride quality.

The Lexus LC is available in two variants, both of which differ based on powertrains only. The Performance variant is powered by a 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8 petrol engine, which pumps out 470 bhp of power and 540 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the more technically-advanced Hybrid Electric variant gets a combination of a 3.5-litre V6 with an electric motor, which produces 353 bhp of power and 348 Nm of torque. A 10-speed automatic gearbox is standard for both engine options.

The Lexus LC does not get the modern autonomous driving assistance systems, but it gets a properly-loaded safety equipment list, which includes eight airbags, front and rear parking sensors, rearview camera, hill start assist, ABS with EBD, traction control, tire pressure monitoring system, blind-spot monitoring system, rear cross-traffic alert, and vehicle stability control. 

High on style in and out and having a perfectly sorted ride and handling balance, the Lexus LC is one of those few sports coupes which are practical to use even on a daily usage basis.
