The update comes four years from the launch of the current generation of S60 and V60 models. As for the visual changes, mildly revised gloss black bumper intakes, a new rear apron with hidden exhaust pipes, and a new wheel design with six spokes form the updates. The V60 will now be available in Core, Plus, and Ultimate trims. Besides, the Bright and Dark packages add chrome or black accents to the Swedish automobile.

On the inside, the newest bling is Volvo’s latest infotainment system powered by Android. The infotainment system brings along services such as Google Assistant, Google Play app store, and Google Maps. The Pilot Assist function, which is part of Volvo’s ADAS suite, should also make it to the refreshed models.

Powering the S60 and V60 are mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The entry-level B3 gets a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 163 PS. The same motor produces 197 PS, 250 PS, and 300 PS on the B4, B5, and B6 trims, respectively. A 48-volt mild-hybrid system that adds an extra 14 PS is present on all trims. The V60 can also be had with a turbodiesel mild-hybrid 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 197 PS.

While the B3 and B4 models get a new seven-speed DCT, the B5 and B6 continue featuring an eight-speed torque-converter with FWD and AWD options. Moreover, the PHEV models still carry the Recharge badge. The plug-in hybrid powertrain gets a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine producing either 253 PS or 310 PS and an electric motor that produces 146 PS. The lithium-ion battery with a usable capacity of 14.9kWh is good enough for an electric range between 75-94 km in the combined cycle.
