A look at the new 2023 BMW X1

A BMW dealer in France posted a teaser video regarding the new BMW X1. This is a sign that the compact crossover's official reveal may not be far off. The German storefront in Charrier Cholet invited guests to a pre-premiere event on May 2. Due to the X1's Bavarian origins, many of the changes coming to the third-generation Clubman will apply to the third-generation X1. There are predictions that the BMW will gain 6.3 inches over the current generation; if that happens, the gap between the new X1 and the current X3 will decrease to four inches.

  • The wheelbase is thought to account for most of the length. It is expected that BMW's new X1 and Clubman will ride on an evolution of its UKL/FAAR front-wheel drive system, with both cars using the front axle as always, but the platform must make room for the electric motors and battery packs that will power the pure-electric version of both cars. new 2023 BMW X1 coming soon

Several spy photos from the past couple of years have revealed a more mature design for the 1 Series platform, with larger kidney grilles above triangular intakes, a curved rear with thinner taillights, and a quad exhaust available on the xDrive AWD 2.0-litre turbocharged M Performance trim level.

Based on spy shots and renderings, it appears the new X1 has a more chiseled look than its predecessor. In common with most recent BMW models, the kidney grilles appear larger than on the outgoing model. According to the teaser image, the front running lights and taillamps have an angular shape.

A camouflaged interior shot shows that the dashboard is very similar to the Active Tourer of the 2 Series. It also includes dashboard displays for instrumentation and infotainment.

For the new X1, a variety of powertrains will be available. An engine is said to be shared between the M35i and the M135i and M235i at the top of the range. As a result, it would have a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that would make 302hp and 332Nm.
