Next-generation Lexus NX debuts with styling and mechanical upgrades

Following the success of the Lexus RX, the automaker showcases the new version of its second top-selling model NX. Considering the success of this SUV that came in late 2014, the automaker pulled every possible thread for the new second generation of the Japanese premium SUV.

Talking of the new Lexus NX, the car gets a new design feature that is sharper and more appealing in terms of its looks. The vehicle that is expected to arrive this fall is completely revamped in its tech & features as well. The updates comprise a new infotainment system besides a bit broader range of powertrain options that include a turbo four-cylinder engine and a plug-in hybrid model.

Talking about the design feature of the car, the automaker opted for a shape that is being defined with the help of the car’s “softer angles and more organic forms”, the looks of the car are further complemented with a focus on the proportions.

The new exterior design is termed ‘revolutionary’. The spindle grille design and the sharper, stronger design lines that run across the body of the car are now more re-defined, adding to the aggressive bit of the car. Moving to the rear, the NX also incorporates a new "Lexus" script that can be seen across the tailgate of the car.
