Pickup trucks were once staid looking, utility-oriented vehicles. All that changed in 1983 when Ford rolled out the compact looking Ranger. My 2019 Ford Ranger is a performance-focused vehicle which doesn’t compromise on its looks. The 5-seat Double Cab layout also makes it a family vehicle. The 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter diesel motor isn’t really quick. But it’s not underpowered either and can haul around 700lbs with an optional towing package. The driver’s seat with 6-way manual adjustment is very comfortable. It also has an 8-way lumbar support. The Ranger offers excellent value for money and is competitively priced in its class.
