2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Urban Sport special edition launched in Europe

Volkswagen’s special edition model, the Tiguan Sport is now official in Europe. The car that now provides the buyers with overall options ranging between nine different engine and transmission options, starts at a base price of 33,125 euros (SGD 52,900). 

While the car retains most of its design features from the Tiguan, it comprises a few new additions to the list as well. Talking of the unique aspects, the new Tiguan Urban Sport presents a continuous reflective strip that is mated to a larger rear spoiler that gives out an R-styling to its appeal. 

Further, you can also notice integrated “exhaust handlers” that are covered in chrome. The other aspects of the car include a front bumper that gets shiny black accents, while the side mirrors of the car are now redesigned to give us the unique look of the concept “Urban Sport” projection on the ground. The other exception is an 18-inch Sebring alloy that now comes as standard.

Other changes can be seen inside the car where it gets special finishes. Some highlights of the updated interior now include illuminated door slippers that present us with the same Urban Sport initials, specially designed floor mats,  brushed foot pedals covered in stainless steel, and a red pinstripe, accompanied by grey stitching, to give the car its sporty appeal that resonates with the exterior. 

Other features that come in as standard inside the car include a rear window that is tinted, progressive steering and sports chassis, LED headlights with Light Assist system, Lane Assist and DAB + digital radio to expand the list of offerings.

Lastly, to add something more, buyers can now opt for the Urban Sport Plus package. The new package is introduced at 1,995 euros (SGD 3,185). This adds a 480-watt 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a digital 16-channel amplifier, head-up display, and LED matrix headlights with dynamic cornering light.
